As part of our ongoing mission to inspire environmental responsibility among the younger generation, the Good Living Trust recently conducted an engaging session at Chennaveeranahalli High School, aimed at nurturing Green Kids – children who embrace a sustainable, plastic-free lifestyle.
In collaboration with our dedicated partners – the Mitra Foundation – the session focused on educating students about the harmful impacts of plastic on both human health and the environment. With a strong emphasis on real-world understanding, the session was designed to be both informative and interactive.
A total of 50 enthusiastic students participated in this vibrant session. Through a combination of visual presentations, informative information and practical demonstrations, the children gained clear insights into:
The visual representation of plastic pollution—both in scale and effect—was especially effective in helping students grasp these complex issues. The children actively engaged in discussions, asked insightful questions, and, most importantly, showed genuine excitement about adopting eco-friendly alternatives. From cloth bags to reusable water bottles, the session ignited a wave of green thinking that we hope will ripple through their homes and communities.
What made the session truly impactful was the blend of knowledge-sharing and hands-on experience. The children didn’t just learn about the problem—they became a part of the solution.
This initiative is a small but powerful step toward building a generation of environmentally responsible citizens. We are incredibly proud of these young Green Kids and deeply grateful to the Mitra Foundation for their ongoing partnership and commitment to a cleaner, greener future.
Together, we’re not just raising awareness – we’re shaping the future.
